Teenaged skateboarding phenom Ryan Sheckler tries to balance the demands of his growing celebrity, under the management of his mother, Gretchen, with the emotional trauma of his parents' recent divorce -- especially now that his father, Randy, already has a new girlfriend. That means Ryan has to fill in as a surrogate dad to his younger brothers, Shane and Kane, but pals Tony, Casey and Taylor are always ready to offer companionship and advice. Ryan deals with normal issues that teenagers must deal with while also managing his skating empire.
