More Critic Reviews for Marvel's Agent Carter Season 2 All Critics (21) | Top Critics (5) | Fresh (16) | Rotten (5) These first two episodes were pretty fun. And they didn't mention Captain America once! Jan 20, 2016 | Full Review… Victoria Edel Observer Top Critic All the additions made to Agent Carter season 2 benefit the series, but in the end the show's success is still rooted in Hayley Atwell's central performance, which only gains more texture as she spends more time with the character. Jan 20, 2016 | Rating: A- | Full Review… Oliver Sava AV Club Top Critic It became... nothing more than a Hayley Atwell vehicle that let everything else from production value to narrative importance fall to the wayside if it meant the show's lead actress getting in just one extra spunky line of dialogue. Jul 12, 2018 | Full Review… Merrill Barr Forbes It was fun, but maybe a two-hour premiere loaded down with so much table-setting and story setup wasn't the best way to kick things off. Jun 21, 2018 | Full Review… Tom Fitzgerald and Lorenzo Marquez Tom & Lorenzo You wouldn't be alone in feeling that this season of Agent Carter lacked a certain urgency...that's really the rub, that Season 2 never seemed like it had enough to say on Peggy's journey... Jun 18, 2018 | Full Review… Kevin Fitzpatrick ScreenCrush Agent Carter remains one of Marvel's strongest TV properties. Jan 18, 2017 | Full Review… Gavia Baker-Whitelaw The Daily Dot The noirish feel of old Hollywood fits the show perfectly, and between the developing mystery and deepening relationships, this season is off to a great start. Jul 12, 2018 | Full Review… Alyssa Fikse Uproxx After just one episode, Peggy and Jarvis' interactions continue to be sharp, entertaining and the show's strongest asset. Feb 2, 2016 | Rating: 4/5 | Full Review… Poppy-Jay Palmer SciFiNow I for one, wish more of television would take the leap that is Agent Carter. At this point, I'm following her wherever she goes. Feb 1, 2016 | Rating: 9/10 | Full Review… Daniel Rasmus PopMatters Where the two hour premiere really kicked off was at the introduction of a strange atomic energy called "Zero Matter." Jan 22, 2016 | Full Review… Lauren Gallaway HitFix Like last summer's Ant-Man, Agent Carter finds a way to make the smaller stakes of Peggy's noir sandbox as tense, credible, and addictively watchable as any other addition to the MCU. Jan 20, 2016 | Rating: 9/10 | Full Review… Mitchel Broussard We Got This Covered Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) is back for more with a second season, and it's clear that the trend of awesome, complex female heroes will keep on gaining momentum. Dec 20, 2016 | Full Review… Victoria McNally MTV View All Critic Reviews (21) Audience Reviews for Marvel's Agent Carter: Season 2 Aug 03, 2019 How could this be cancelled after only two short seasons? Season 2 is definitely worth a watch and even more stylish than the show's first season due to its change of location. More people should take a look at this. Michelle S Jul 02, 2019 This didn't live up to the first season, but shouldn't have been cancelled. If the story had been a bit tighter (maybe back to 8 episodes) I think it would have made a big difference. I really enjoyed many of the new supporting cast, but it detracted from our heroine. And it was definitely too early for singing and dancing.... Also cliffhangers without closure are the worst. Cait G May 27, 2019 I thought it was a Great TV Show; with plenty of Action and Adventure plus great humor. I don't see why the network pulled it out I would have love to seen it go on for more seasons than it did. K Robert W May 05, 2019 Better than it's not, but just barely Neil S Apr 26, 2019 Cancelled too soon, 'Agent Carter's sophomore season might be better than its first. The light, bouncy tone is livelier funnier, the sci-fi plot is more intriguing, and the shift from New York to L.A. opens up a fresh new setting with a Hollywood twist. Season 2 also sets up a much stronger antagonist than before, though one that eventually sputters out into the typical Marvel villain curse. A set of love triangles also aren't great and a little predictable. Still, Atwell and D'Arcy more than pick up the slack while Enver Gjokaj's Agent Sousa is given more development and time to shine to become a neat character in his own right. Hector V Apr 22, 2019 Definitely worse than the first season, it's way too supernatural. I really hope they reboot Agent Carter for Disney+, but in the style of season 1. Ellen H Apr 21, 2019 Better than the first, the second season of Marvel's Agent Carter features a different venue to explore, unlike other MCU productions, incredible action scenes, a great villain who is very well developed and excellent performances by Hayley Atwell, the title character, James D'Arcy, Chad Michael Murray, Enver Gjokaj and Wynn Everett ANDREY A Nov 24, 2018 Never got into this... good actor's, slow story Dee R Oct 05, 2018 After an excellent first season the change of setting from NY to LA is a let down and the cliffhanger is incredibly frustrating.
