Tv Season Info

In the fourth season of this drama, a now-healthy Deacon (Charles Esten) feels guilty as Beverly (Dana Wheeler-Nicholson) grows gravely ill, and Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) experiences problems with her mental health in the wake of Cadence's birth. Eventually, her erratic behavior takes its toll on Avery (Jonathan Jackson), who asks for a divorce. Meanwhile, Rayna (Connie Britton) works hard on saving her failing label by signing Markus Keen (Riley Smith), a high-maintenance pop star who wants to break into the country-music scene. Rayna's life at home is no less stressful, as she has to deal with an increasingly rebellious Maddie (Lennon Stella), who seeks independence and a music career of her own.

I'm actually relieved by this turn of events.

Since the best parts of this show have always been about -- say it with me -- the music, hopefully the rest of this Nashville season can again find the joy in creation and composition and the melding of these wonderful country voices together.

This is the Nashville I know and love. This is the show whose albums I've downloaded, whose great moments... are such a joy to recall.

The show is really becoming a love to hate it kinda situation for me. The stories border on the absurd, but a part of me is hoping that they get even more outlandish.

Nashville puts a pain in my heart, a feeling that this show has never achieved the rich potential it had, and it makes me sad.

This may be a controversial opinion, but ABC's Nashville, which returned this week for its fourth season, is the greatest modern soap the world has ever seen.

Sep 24, 2015 | Full Review…

The show is nothing more than a soap with good music but it has a sense of humor often enough to keep me entertained.

Sep 24, 2015 | Full Review…

First of all, a round of applause for Hayden Panettiere and her amazing range. She portrayed the full spectrum of emotion, from flirty to bitchy to carefree to decimated. She might be all over the board, but she owns every single scene.

It's become somewhat of an outlier on a network that's invented a hashtag around Thursday night binge-watching, but returning to Nashville's slower-paced, unpretentious world is something like a comfort blanket, as well.

Audience Reviews for Nashville: Season 4

Before I start watching musical series I always think that it will reach a point that they won't have more innovative ideias to create more songs, but Nashville, on its fourth season is the prove that there still are shows that are clever enough to stay refreshing, and that happens not only because of its amazing charismatic cast, but also because of its creative producers and directors behind the cameras.
