What's the point of hiring jaunty Tim Curry as star and squandering him in a flat family comedy? Or casting the delightful Annie Potts, then giving her a scene in which she suffers a hangoverwhile handcuffed to a blender? Go to Full Review
Sheri Linden Variety 08/13/2019
The chief problem for "Over the Top" is that, so far, we don't believe the two lead characters shared a past, however brief; viewers will need to buy into that idea if [Tim] Curry and [Annie] Potts are going to have a future together. Go to Full Review
Will Joyner New York Times 08/13/2019
