See more D M Feb 11 After the less than stellar movie appearance of Peacemaker, I was at a loss when I heard he was getting his own series on HBO. I watched the first episode out of morbid curiosity. I loved it from the opening dance sequence. 2022 had some great series, but I think this might be my favorite. It was absolutely the most fun, by far. There's no cliffhanger season ending, it's the perfect self-contained series. ...something you can't say about season 2. See more SnEaKy @basaro_o Feb 4 Expected more, to be honest, especially after The Suicide Squad. I feel like the Peacemaker we saw in The Suicide Squad was absent. The humor is overdone and gets old after a while. The CGI, when someone is flying or when Eagly is present, is, in informal terms, horrendous and gets noticed very quickly. Also, how is Chris even still alive?? The positives, however, for me at least, were the action scenes when present, character bonding, especially with Chris and Adrian, etc. But God, I can’t stand Adebayo. I also didn’t like how, in the final episode, Chris tells Adebayo she’s his best friend after Eagly, completely disregarding and, frankly, disrespecting Adrian. Maybe I’m exaggerating, but that’s how I perceived it. Now that I mention all this stuff, I’m tempted to put this season at a 6/10, but I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt and stick with 7/10. See more Jonathan L @march15th Feb 1 Only about 10% of the jokes hit for me. I probably spent more time sighing and rolling my eyes at the terrible writing than I did actually watching. Typical trite trash that James Gunn puts out. That said, if you like his particular brand of art, then you'll probably love this too. I'm starting to get superhero fatigue and I used to collect comic books as a kid. I never heard of peacemaker and I'm a wrestling fan so, wrestlers don't have a really good track record of being good actors. But I loved everything about this show See more Lee H Jan 14 I really underestimated John Cena. The scene that I'll never forget is when the song "Would you love a creature" plays in the background while the Peacemaker gazes tenderly at Emilia Harcourt while she's looking elsewhere. The lyrics are "...I reach out to you, would you love a creature like me?" I had tears in my eyes. Without saying a word, his face expressed so much. I had no idea he had such range.
