The Comeback: 2004 Boston Red Sox does a great job of capturing just how the ’04 Red Sox were different than other Sox teams, how they were built, and why they were perfectly suited to make the miraculous comeback against the hated Yankees. Go to Full Review

jack s @RT94269072 01/04/2025 This is one of the most entertaining sports documentaries I have seen in a long time. If you are a Yankees fan, first 2 episodes are an absolute must-see, but you might want to skip the last episode. See more Ed R @JustcallmeER 11/28/2024 Netflix needs to stop trying to make sports documentaries. See more Michael W @mawilps 11/26/2024 This sports docuseries was very good. The entire crew did a spectacular job on making this docuseries about the 2004 Boston Red Sox defeating one of the greatest and the most hated team in baseball, the New York Yankees. It was incredible and inspirational what the Red Sox did for the city of Boston and finally making those damn Yankees look bad for a change. If you haven't seen this docuseries yet, check it out sometime. It's a definite must see. See more Jay R @RT98816289 11/19/2024 I'm no baseball fan but love sport in general. And have to say this is one of the best sports docs going. It's so human, you really feel like everyone involved is telling how it it's. This is "no drive to survive" soap opera with false narratives. See more Birithivy Y @RT04210749 10/29/2024 The Comeback: 2004 Boston Red Sox - 10/10. Has it really been 20 years? Gosh does time really fly! As a sports fan and a lover of history, these types of docuseries’ are the things I eat up right away. Its the stuff of legends and a literal team of destiny. There’s already a great ESPN 30 for 30 segment called Four Days In October, and that segment is one of the series’ best works. So its a tall task to try and replicate that doc, and this one does an excellent job of expanding the story and the buildup to the actual comeback. You got interviews from people even outside of the Sox (the fact that Joe Torre, Roger Clemens, and even the former Sox bench boss agreed to do an interview is outstanding). It lends so much credence and insight into how and why the team was destined to break that historic streak of not winning. And oh my, do I feel bad for Nomar. The legendary shortstop really is the saddest part of this series, making you feel bad that he never won it and also making it seem like because of his trade, it helped the team get over the top. Sucks to be honest. Sports allows for drama that is sometimes non existent in real life situations, and this docuseries provides an ample amount of narratives that you can’t even manufacture in a great drama. With a bunch of interesting characters on that team, and a great sense of why and how the team did the unthinkable, this is a must watch for Sox and baseball fans. Even as a Jays fan (and even though I still prefer the 30 for 30 segment), I still think this is top tier work! See more John B @jbogan98 10/27/2024 A must watch for any Sox fan, the interviews and the backstory add more depth to an already amazing season! See more Read all reviews
