It's not that this show is above this sort of moral-to-the-story, but it's usually handled with a little more finesse. The way it's repeatedly jammed down our throats here is straight out of a Saturday morning cartoon version of The Flash.

Enter Jax. Headstrong where Stein is calm, instinctual where Stein is cerebral, he complements the professor psychologically as well as physically, and makes for a much more interesting whole.
