Critic Reviews for Attack on Central City
It's been a while since the show has embraced the optimism of its premise, so it was nice to see both Barry and Gyspy step up to the plate.
A clunky outing... where the limitations of weekly television are laid bare. Still, I'd never want the creative team to stop swinging for the fences, even if the result is a harmless pop-up to the infield.
The show may still be zany and joyful, but it's not the risk-taker it once was.
For a show with a history of dropping the ball and having pretty weak Part 2 Episodes, this one brought the right amount of pop, despair, and optimism.
Wrapped up an ambitious two-part storyline in fine form this week.
Thanks to the strength of the characters, we're able to forget about the special effect shenanigans and focus on the interactions they all have with one another.
While the series is bursting at the seams at this point... "Attack On Central City" does a fine job of balancing all of its elements and devoting enough time to each of them.
A positively lovey-dovey episode.
Barry is finally getting back to the wholesome hero that made him so likable in the first place.
A major improvement from last week, Attack on Central City was more in line with expectations of a Flash/Grodd rematch.
