Critic Reviews for Into the Speed Force
Wentworth Miller's guest appearance was the best thing about this episode and was a further reminder of the weak villains we've had this season.
More Cisco wisecracks! More campy villains like the Trickster!
The episode outdoes itself by bringing back a personal favorite of mine: Leonard Snart, a.k.a. Captain Cold.
This episode was mad luke warm dingy bath water.
Thankfully, there was no point where "Into the Speed Force" felt like a shameless copy of "The Runaway Dinosaur."
Space? The love of your life could die in the near future and you want space? That's not very romantic!
Not only does it fail to live up to its predecessor by an enormous margin, it also ranks amongst the series' worst, most mind-boggling and most downright frustrating episodes to date.
For what should have been a monumental episode... in the end it all felt woefully inconsequential.
'Into the Speed Force' manages to balance the big picture narrative with the smaller, interpersonal plots.
Having your hero face challenges, and deal with consequences, is one thing. But Barry Allen is practically the villain of this season. The pendulum needs to swing back, pronto.
Into the Speed Force was the inevitable turning point of this season. Like a shard driven through the day glo slot in Savitar's armor, the first cracks came through tonight.
