No consensus yet.
Thankfully, though, the darkness and gloom temporarily lifts in tonight's exceedingly fun outing, which was directed by Danielle Panabaker.
It's not easy to pull off a wacky romp when your main character is facing death in a few short weeks, but The Flash gives it a shot with "License To Elongate."
The capture of Barry and Ralph was inevitable, but the villain having a laser beam seemed extreme.
Was "License to Elongate" the best episode ever? Nope, definitely not. But in a season that seems primarily focused on character-driven stories (even as the threat of "Crisis" looms), it does exactly what it needs to do.
By the time Crisis on Infinite Earths is over, I won't remember any of the things that annoyed me about this episode, but I'll remember the way that final scene made me feel.
