Meijer chose not to participate in this three-part series, which documents the sense of shock recipients went through and their subsequent efforts to rein in his obsessive actions, but it paints a clear picture of male entitlement run amok. Go to Full Review

The danger of children having so many half-siblings is spelled out – the risk of them meeting as adults, being drawn to one another and unknowingly committing incest – but the parents seem to worry less about the potential psychological effects. Go to Full Review

... It is a strange and fascinating story of a man who was apparently so blinded by self-love he thought he was doing the world a favour. Go to Full Review

This documentary is a very good thing for a few different reasons, the main one being that Meijer can no longer hide. Go to Full Review

The facts are almost unbelievable, but thanks to the unmistakable proof, this becomes a cautionary tale with a harrowing premise. Go to Full Review

Because the series is so one-sided and speculative, The Man With 1000 Kids has to be seen with a bit of jaundiced eye. Go to Full Review

Jake of all T @RT98291432 01/25/2025 Honestly, this is one of the strangest documentaries I've ever seen because this isn't the situation that happened in Ohio where you had that guy. Who was the fertility doctor who just snuck his own sperm in there. Especially when his own sperm was deficient and had a lot of problems and natural ailments. According to the documentary, it doesn't seem like there was any real issue with Jonathan's sperm. In fact, clinics were taking him which means that he also fit the profile as far as height, weight, general health history, as well as psychological analysis and a slightly higher than average intellect, which is normally the baseline for whether or not somebody can be admitted for these things. The documentary gets really strange because all of these women chose his sperm but then they got upset because of How they realized that they weren't special but were just another notch on his belt. Which again makes for a really weird viewing because they got what they wanted which was a kid, but they got upset because they realized that they have a bunch of other kids made by him. And that makes him a bad guy? Definitely makes for a weird situation for him. I'm not endorsing his behavior. But it's just so strange trying to understand the psychology of this because even so at the end of the video, they're trying to have some giant get together for all of the women that are pissed off at him and all of the kids who are brothers and sisters. And somehow in this they got not only what they wanted which was a kid, as well as they built a community centered around hate against the father. And the kids have a bunch of brothers and sisters throughout the world but yet he is the bad guy..... Again, it's really strange and I'm trying to understand this. Maybe it's just that the people are making the best of a bad situation? But I don't know. It's just really odd. Yes, Jonathan broke a bunch of fertility ideals when it comes to over procreating and that does become a problem. If centuries don't allow me find out that his genetics have some type of deficiency that leads them to be susceptible to some type of illness. Or all of a sudden we end up with another issue of Habsburg jaw. But yeah this is just a really strange documentary and I had to just write this because it was just so odd at how he is being vilified in this scenario when his sperm was the one that was chosen. In situations like that one doctor who was sneaking his own sperm in. Yeah that dude is an a****** he needs to burn in hell and this guy Jonathan to me is not somebody that needs to be idolized and definitely somebody who we need to have further understanding of why the heck he's doing this, why he wanted to do this etc. But I don't understand the vilification. Especially because to my understanding he really wasn't getting funded for this other than of course from the fertility clinics that he donated to, which I'm guessing they probably paid him. Idk?? Super super super confusing. Maybe we should just go back to having natural families? See more matthias s @Thescreenasvor 11/01/2024 *The Man with 1000 Kids* is a shocking and brilliantly crafted docuseries that follows the disturbing story of Jonathan Meijer, a Dutch YouTuber accused of fathering over 500 children and deceiving people around the world. Each episode unearths another layer of his jaw-dropping actions, making it nearly impossible to look away. It’s a whirlwind of twists and turns that left me in disbelief; just when I thought things couldn't get worse, they did, and the tension kept me fully immersed. The series does a great job of highlighting the victims' stories, with many mothers banding together in an inspiring show of resilience to bring Meijer to justice. This adds a powerful layer of emotional depth and urgency to the story. I found myself feeling a mix of shock, disgust, and outrage—emotions that lingered long after each episode. The time flew by as I was gripped by this disturbing yet important story that feels almost unreal. For those interested in true crime with emotional weight, *The Man with 1000 Kids* is essential viewing. It’s hard to believe it’s all real, and that’s what makes it both unforgettable and terrifying. A strong 3.5-star recommendation. The entire crew did an excellent job on documenting this story and what horrific crimes that Jonathan Jacob Meijer did to all his victims. He's a predator and a liar. He did this for power, recognition, and money. Thankfully, he was caught and punished severely. If you haven't seen this docuseries yet, check it out sometime. It's worth watching.
