Many viewers will find Trainwreck: Storm Area 51 a fascinating watch, as it works as a case study of how "something on the internet" can so easily and quickly morph into something dangerously real. Go to Full Review

Storm Area 51 tells a funny story in excruciating yet still largely superficial detail. Go to Full Review

Declan D. @filmbuffkid Feb 8 A entertaining and fun documentary about the biggest prank of all time, and I love the cameos from Youtubers. See more BRizz 2 @TheMovieSearch Aug 5 Trainwreck: Storm at Area 51 continues the recent trend of underwhelming entries in the Trainwreck documentary series. Following the disappointment of Project X, this latest installment also misses the mark, making it one of the few episodes in the series that I didn’t fully connect with. The biggest issue? It’s bloated with unnecessary information. What this series has done so well in the past is deliver tight, impactful storytelling in a 45-minute to one-hour format. But with Storm at Area 51, we’re given two long episodes that feel like they’re dragging us through endless talking points with little payoff until the final moments. It begs the question—why are we drowning in so much filler just to get a coherent ending? Did I enjoy it? Sure, for what it was. But it’s not something I’d rewatch or recommend. The direction felt off, almost as if it lost sight of what made the earlier episodes compelling. Up until Project X, this series had a solid streak, and Balloon Boy gave me a glimmer of hope that the magic was still there. Unfortunately, that hope is fading fast. I do appreciate that they’re releasing these frequently and that the concept still holds potential. But if the quality continues to dip like this, it might be time for the creators to slow down and refocus. Because if we’re not getting thoughtful, well-paced storytelling, then maybe it’s time to hit pause. See more Chad B @RT41708191 Aug 5 Incredibly poorly done. Want to watch a bunch of icky people react to their phone screens and say " WHAT THE FU*K" 1,000 times, then go ahead and rot your brain on this. This is going to be too easy, but here we go anyway... The biggest trainwreck is this documentary itself. See more Read all reviews
