For Palin, born into that cusp between old-fashioned courtesy and pointless deference, and who has done so much to uphold the first while cheerfully disabusing us of the value of the second, this must have been a tough listen. 02/28/2021 Oh gosh, that was really bad. Grown up myself in a communist regime, I must say this documentary is just contraproductive, naive and even destructive. Zero reality, just a clown being shown an artificial Potemkin's staged set and performers (the school visit made me cry as I couldn't grasp why Michael diminished himself to this role). None of the brutality of the regime and its caste system. I couldn't watch it all at once how upset I was. Can't see any reason why this documentary was shot and aired.
