Douglas M @RT81385738 May 12 Looking for a new comedy to watch on Netflix I came across this and was immediately intrigued by the synopsis. The idea of an upper-middle class doctor suddenly finding out (as an adult) that she was adopted and furthermore that her birth parents and siblings are drag racing bogans seemed a a recipe for comedy gold! The cast are immediately likeable and relatable and the often hilarious melding of the two worlds is heartwarming and uplifting. The character development is excellent from the start and despite the light relief there's still those hard moments of family life that gives it some much needed depth and heart. It's not a laugh-out-loud comedy but the observational style comedy is always funny and endearing making this a comfortable and enjoyable watch whether it's for an episode a week or a deep dive weekend binge-fest!
