      Innovative cinematographer best known for the sophisticated crane shots in "Broadway" (1929) and as one of the first cameramen to regularly and fluently use dolly and boom shots. Mohr demonstrated his technical proficiency on a number of highly regarded films (including the Oscar-winning "A Midsummer Night's Dream" 1935 and "The Phantom of the Opera" 1940), but from the mid-1950s did the bulk of his work in TV. His third wife was actress Evelyn Venable.
