Portia Nelson was an actress who graced the silver screen many times throughout her Hollywood career. Nelson started off her career in film with roles in "The Sound of Music" (1965) with Julie Andrews, "The Trouble With Angels" (1966) and "Doctor Dolittle" (1967) with Rex Harrison. Later, she acted in "All My Children" (1969-2011), the Uta Hagen thriller "The Other" (1972) and "The Ghost of Thomas Kempe" (ABC, 1979-1980). She also appeared in the Ray Simpson musical "Can't Stop the Music" (1980) and "Rage of Angels" (1982-83). Nelson's music was most recently featured in "The House I Live In" (PBS, 1989-1990).
