way better than i expected it would be - some cool glitzy jazz too
gr8 cast brings this popular book by arthur halley to the big screen it even spun-off a TV series.
Glitzy and overdone with too many plotlines but still enjoyable in a soap operaish way. Good cast do what they can with unchallenging roles, Merle Oberon is decked out in some great outfits and gravity defying hair! And any hotel lucky enough to have Carmen McRae as their lounge singer is some place worth checking in to.
This movie follows the book somewhat. It has a cast that have been well casted! It's well directed with camera shots and movements that depict this movie very well! It's worth seeing, but it's not better than the book, but it's still good!
