This sweeping drama, based on real historical events, follows American boyhood friends Rafe McCawley (Ben Affleck) and Danny Walker (Josh Hartnett) as they enter World War II as pilots. Rafe is so eager to take part in the war that he departs to fight in Europe alongside England's Royal Air Force. On the home front, his girlfriend, Evelyn (Kate Beckinsale), finds comfort in the arms of Danny. The three of them reunite in Hawaii just before the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

Pearl Harbor tries to be the Titanic of war movies, but it's just a tedious romance filled with laughably bad dialogue. The 40 minute action sequence is spectacular though.

The best way to see the movie is as I did: expecting nothing and being pleasantly surprised, and strangely moved, by Mr. Bay's audacity in filming his lovers in end-of-the-world close-ups, however briefly.

I absolutely loved this movie. If you are someone that loves romance and is interested in war movies, this will be the perfect match for you. Not only is the movie enjoyable, but the 1# 2000s heartthrob Josh hartnett plays Danny Walker. If you were especting 100% accurity, this movie might not be for you. Some scenes and some parts of the attacking did not happened the way it happened in the movie. If your fine with all of this, I would definitely recommend it!

Outstanding battle sequences, but the love triangle was completely unnecessary. If they’d stuck to focusing on the attack itself and didn’t spend so much time on the romance, this film would be considered one of the best war films ever.

Great movie with lots of action, but missed some comedy and some plot twist. I loved the brotherhood between Rafe and Danny, and it moved my heart at the end of the movie. Plot was really predictable, but overall, it turned out to be a pretty decent movie.

Typical Bay crap. Now a whole generation thinks that Pearl Harbour stands for love romance. American Fallout vault propagands shit. And Hans Zimmer pours his same old repetitive sludge all over it.

I think Pearl Harbour is a cinematic masterpiece that doesn't deserve half as much hate as it is receiving. Most haters probably have a miniscule attention span therefore unable to understand the depth of the meaning or the movie. The romance was top notch and deals with bonds over trauma and grief. I think that everyone should watch this movie at least once in their lifetime
