Moni F @RT02436248 3d Wasn't expecting much going in but oh man! was quickly hooked onto the story with in the first 40 minutes but oh man the twist at the end had me sitting in disbelief for 10 minutes never have I seen a twist as good as shutter island easily a 5 star classic and the definition of a must see movie. The setting and cinematography do a great job of making the island feel unsettling throughout the film. The story keeps you invested by putting you in the guy from the Titanics shoes, letting you share in his confusion and uncertainty as the mystery develops. The twist is handled well and doesn’t feel overly telegraphed, making the ending hit even harder. Some scenes linger a bit longer than necessary to build tension, but they never dragged enough to hurt the experience. The strong ending and overall vibe make this one of the more memorable psychological thrillers I’ve seen. I’d rank it like a 76/100.
