Alien Resurrection is by far the worst installment of the entire franchise. It fails in everyway. The directing, writing, casting, performance, dialogue, creatures design, practical effects, and storytelling are horrible. It lacks the horror and suspense expected of an alien movie. The comedic tone is out of place and completely ruins the movie.

People and critics are weird. This movie mostly looks good, but it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy better than those turds that are "Promehteus" and "Covenant", ESPECIALLY better than that last one mentioned. And: there's Sigourney, Brad effing Douriff, Ron effing Perlman, Dan effing Hedaya. Nuff said.

What the heck did I just watch? As much as I disliked Alien 3, I think this somehow ended up being worse. On the one hand, it’s a good bit more watchable than that film. On the other, it’s less well-made technically speaking, and has some of the most ridiculous plotlines ever seen in this franchise. It’s no secret that this (and Alien 3) went through tremendous production issues. And while I think it’s evident in both cases, this movie just has a story that makes absolutely no sense, has completely scattershot plot points, and definitely was not worth telling. Yeah, I don’t know man. This just kinda sucked for me.

When we look at the actual message of the movie alien and what the face huggers and aliens are representing this is disheartening, combining human and alien like it is a good thing is wrong, like they just ignored the entire reason why aliens are bad in this movie series. It is honestly just fan service and nothing else it should have stopped moving foward after the movie aliens. Would not recommend.
