Completing the trail of cryptic clues simply becomes an end in and of itself -- think Sudoku: The Movie -- with little in the way of whimsy, star chemistry or excitement to enliven the dour plod.

I think it was marvelous. I watched it for the fifth time and as always, couldn’t tear myself apart. And this from someone who rarely sticks with a movie longer than five minutes. Beautifully directed and awesome acting. Definitely among the top 20 best movies I have ever seen.

A good idea on paper, but in practice the film tends to be too long (perhaps the shorter version is better). Many moments are drawn out, even tedious; historically, it's a disaster, even if it's fiction. The last 30 minutes were more enjoyable. In short, it's not unpleasant to watch, but if you haven't seen it, you're not missing anything particularly important.

If you're interested in the old church history movie then this is the one, they leave some things out of the book that is also inmportant, but with the movie music and powerfull scenes this is the best movies I have seen

Wow, I am really surprised by the reviews that this movie has received. I enjoyed it, and appreciated the adventure that it took us on. Of course, I also enjoyed the book series as well. This and National Treasure are a lot alike for me. One deals in the US Government and this one with the Christian Faith.
