The team of top-secret program brings ATF agent Doug Carlin (Denzel Washington) into its midst to capture the terrorist (Jim Caviezel) responsible for a ferry bombing that left hundreds dead. Sounds a bit dodgy, huh? Not when an in-form Denzel Washington is involved. He's the glue that keeps this absurdly compelling thriller together as it mashes up the present and the past to intoxicating effect.

I thought it was very well done and come on, it's Denzel. It was a little hard to follow the time shifting explanations but I still really enjoyed it. The ending was excellent as well. I watched it probably 15 or more years ago and I'm so glad I gave it another look.

It's a very good film. But the plot became predictable once the strange part of the story gets revealed. It still kept me on the edge of the seat though, so it served the purpose.

An okay movie despite the silly pretense of time travel. Denzel Washington's performance is not what he later became. He seems lazy in this. Val Kilmer helps the movie. Otherwise a forgettable film, which is unusual for a Scott free production. Not worth a second watch. But first time around it's worthwhile.
