See more Leo Z @zrlx.04 May 20 A poignant and morally reflective story upheld by a scarily impressive performance by Pacino and Reeves, only to be interrupted occasionally by the overly comical CGI and animations. With the supernatural initially as an implied but not abundantly stated plot point, The Devil’s Advocate represented the driving force that is human greed brilliantly. The initial usage of computer generated imagery were scarce and selective, serving as only plot devices to insert the ominous concept of demons. However, some time around the midpoint-ending of the film, the CGI became so abundant that it’s distractive against arguably one of the best performances by both Pacino and Reeves. What could have been a tastefully implied shot that achieves the same message with framing and dialogue was instead represented by over exaggerated, in-your-face animations that did not age well with technological advances in film. They just felt stuck in, There is evil in this veil of tears but I don't see it as portrayed in the movie. A typical old style stereotype Hollywood ending. This movie is undone reality of this life and God and Devil warfare. See more bernardo L @RT72536768 May 1 I don't think enough people have the theology basis to fully understand this movie. Just watched it for the first time and I was completely thrown away. Every small detail here conducts you to specific place, and everything comes together. This is not a normal movie. It gives you so much to study and think about the crude reality of human nature that I insist is one of the best movies I have ever seen. I, myself, am a lawyer, and can comprehend the full extend of the debating themes. On the other hand, I have spend many years studying theology, and can assure you this movie represents correctly so many things that should scare that this movie is published with so many low filters.
