After failing to kill stubborn survivor Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis) and taking a bullet or six from former psychiatrist Dr. Sam Loomis (Donald Pleasence), Michael Myers (Jonathan Prince) has followed Laurie to the Haddonfield Memorial Hospital, where she's been admitted for Myers' attempt on her life. The institution proves to be particularly suited to serial killers, however, as Myers cuts, stabs and slashes his way through hospital staff to reach his favorite victim.

Rick Rosenthal, who directed this 1981 sequel, doesn't have Carpenter's expansive, affectionate way with stereotypical characters, and without it they're empty shells -- bodies waiting for the slaughter.

It comes on the scene promising everything, replete with the successful reputation of the first film plus a few novel ideas of its own, but it delivers zilch -- not even chills.

A better movie than the first one. It tied up all the loose ends and delivered plenty of tense moments—once again, without jump scares. The only downside was a few "quick-fix" solutions that wouldn't happen in real life. Still, it was worth watching.

It lacked supporting character development, unlike the first movie. The hospital staff was just number on the victims. The sibling tie watered down Michael. A little unknown fact Jamie Lee Curtis that played Laurie Strode only wore her underwear under her hospital gown in Halloween ll to keep it real looking.

Also one of other really good Halloween movies I really like the hospital setting and the way Michael looks in this movie also the ending I might even like it better than the first Halloween movie

Halloween II is a solid but clearly secondary follow-up. It expands the lore and delivers a darker, bloodier experience. If you enjoy classic slasher films and want a direct continuation of that night, it’s a worthy sequel with atmosphere and continuity definatly worth watching.
