The bottom of the TCM barrel. Pure garbage. Sad coda to Lon Chaney Jr.'s movie career.
Ultra cheap Frankenstein crime noir hybrid, not badly acted, but with a perfunctory plot that mixes clunky exposition and second-hand Marlowe-esque voice-over. There's even a nod to sci-fi when a Theremin suddenly turns up on the soundtrack. Poor Lon Chaney lurches around like he just wants the cheque.
A murdering psychopath (Chaney, of course) and career criminal is reanimated after being sentenced to death. The gang that ratted him out to the D.A. is now in trouble as the reanimation included making the brute super strong and invulnerable. So now he's a modern day Frankenstein loose in Los Angeles. Sometimes so corny it lends itself to laughter, but still better than many others in this genre. There's plenty of babes wandering the set in their swimsuits, too.
Entertaining, great shots of 50s Los Angeles.
Indestructible Man is a disappointing film. It is about a a brutal death row inmate who gets double-crossed by his crooked lawyer. Lon Chaney Jr. and Marian Carr give terrible performances. The screenplay is badly written. Jack Pollexfen did a horrible job directing this movie. I was not impressed with this motion picture.
A Frankenstein rip off with the most boring dialogues and ridiculous plot I've seen. It tried to use a crime thriller narrative but it failed miserably.
Some Hulk-type references, along with the Amazing Colossal Man. Lon Chaney not at his best.
Poorly paced with a uninteresting story despite a neat concept. The characters and dialog are bland. Simple plot, simple ending, and a very simple villain.
How many times has Chaney been brought back to life with electricity? This movie's pretty boring for the most part, but it's also kind of cool in some parts too like the ending.
A criminal who is revived and is ma A criminal who is revived and is made indestructible by a mad scientist after he was executed in the electric chair, seeks revenge on his former partner in crimes that sold him out. The usual B-movie shocker with a mad scientist and Lon Chaney in the lead. This one is so bad it's laughable at best, but still boring.
