This thing was written by a 12 year old boy. Major plot holes and I didn't give a shit about anyone.
The only thing redeeming is Emily Hampshire, but even she can't save this dog shit of a film
It conforms to the usual ROM-COM tropes but it's more clever than usual and plays with the format well. Plus the utterly adorable Emily Hampshire is in it with her deadpan comic delivery. A fine farce telling of the stripper-with-a-heart-of-gold story.
Very funny in a sweet way
Canadian yarn from great Canadian stand up comedian Sean Garrity. The movie is not that great but it has its moments.
Predictable and uneven - intelligent and funny one minute, a bit clumsy and falling flat the next, though not overly cringeworthy. On balance it's above average fun, just not brilliant, as it could have been if more consistent.
A few funny punches here & there, that's all.
There were some funny parts but for the most part you just want to throttle the main character for being such an idiot the whole time. Also, it was filmed here in Winnipeg so locals get the double laugh of seeing all the places they tried to pass off as Toronto.
Best Canadian flick in a while. Lots of laughs.
Not so funny but not so bad
entertaning and very different
