IAM M @IAM1655 Jun 7 One of the worst and funniest Bond films I have seen. Maud Adams returns as Octopussy after her outing in The Man with the Golden Gun as Andrea Anders. The villains are kinda boring, not really anything fun. Gobinda is the type of henchman that tries to be like Jaws. See more Wayne K @RT88290232 Apr 6 One of the least talked about Bond entries, and for good reason, Octopussy is mostly forgettable, with few enjoyable action sequences, few memorable gadgets and a script that feels like it was written in a hurry the night before it was due. If it stands out for any reason it’s for the amusement of seeing a host of actors saying Octopussy with a completely straight face. I liked the sidekick of Vijay, an actual tennis pro, and the cold ruthless henchman Gobinda, among the only characters to make an actual impact. The storylines about forged diamonds and nuclear disarmament barely have anything to do with each other aside from them both involving the same characters, and it’s such a shame seeing Moore, one of my favourite cinematic Bonds, reduced to dressing up like a circus clown. It has it’s moments, but it’s an instalment you’ll miss nothing by skipping. La trama è più complessa del solito e a tratti finisce per essere un po' confusa e forzata in alcuni comportamenti dei suoi personaggi; funziona però la proposta di vari schieramenti e soprattutto il ritorno alle origini con la vera battaglia tra occidente e URSS ai confini dell'allora Germania divisa.
