Prom Night (2008)

Critic Consensus: A dim and predictable remake of an already dull slasher film, this Prom Night fails to be memorable.

By far the worst 'slasher movie' remake to date, replaying all the clichés, but delivering none of the guilty pleasures.

There's no need to wear a corsage to Prom Night. And leaving your higher brain functions at home might be a good idea, too.

A bland, timid and thoroughly un-thrilling teen thriller.

There's absolutely zippo to fear about this movie, unless you're the kind of person who jumps when formula bogeymen do exactly what you'd expect them to do.

Audience Reviews for Prom Night

Quite scary and not that bad of a film!

This movie may seem to be interesting when you hear about it, but when you watch it, it is so predictable. Since Donna's insane teacher is trying to get to her. So you know that all Donna's friends and even her boyfriend are going to die. This movie is cliche and also very predicable. If you want to see an unoriginal remake, rent this movie. But now having rewatched it I guess it's alright but not the best movie.

Firstly no way is this a remake of the original 1980 slasher. They are both called Prom Night and that is it, the stories are totally different! The other problem is this is classed as a horror but only a PG-13?! Pretty straight forward slasher stuff, not scary or gory but done on a big budget. Watch the 80's one it was only just slightly better!
