It is far from perfect, but a rewarding experience nonetheless - amd a much better film than the derivative "Lola" and the convoluted "Veronika Voss" that preceded it. It is destined to become a cult classic.

Because the film is an experiment, it often seems disjointed or incomprehensible, but more than anything it marks a radical turning point in narrative filmmaking.
