Darn - I had high hopes for Slenderman, the eerie modern legend of the tall faceless man in the forest that steals children. The disappointing thing is that there was a lot of material that COULD have been scary. The fear factor flopped. Go to Full Review Fausto Ponce Proceso 05/30/2019

The W @TheWagners 1d I'm sure Trevor the Creator of the original knows the movie is a spit on his creation. It's a tragedy that there was a murder because of the slenderman creepypasta, so I think this movie is tasteless in that regard. But since I watched it, I can tell you that this movie is atrocious. The characters are always the same teens discover and summon it horror movie trope. The acting is from the same girl in wish upon so yeah trash. Joey king needs to retire lol. The cgi is so bad on the slenderman and the deaths? There were barely any I guess people just disappeared in this movie. I don't even think I could rate this because it was so bad. The whole story boils down to, “He infects your brain like a virus, then kidnaps you,” and it never really grows beyond that. The editing doesn’t help either—every scene has same rhythm and it gets boring after a while like watching the same clip looped for an hour. It even sounds repetitive like the editors dropped a single eerie soundscape on top of the entire film and called it a day. See more 01/18/2021 Empty story, ok effects. My sister got me to watch it because I love horror movies, but it was just a bunch of girls running around screaming. I love horror movies but I have to say that this is a disappointment. I'm glad I didn't go out and spend money on it because it was on Starz!
