Nothing special and fairly conventional.
Incredible. Very raw and informative.. and Lange did a fantastic job as Patsy.
The best movie song ever sung: Crazy!
You would think with Lange and Harris starring in this film that the acting would be pretty top notch, but it's actually what silly and garish. It's not all their fault, the writing and directing is all over the place and the story wanders around and leads to no where besides what has been widely known about Patsy Cline. I wanted to like the movie, but it was just flat out boring.
Despite factual errors or discrepancies and the portrayal of Patsy's character as an occasional victim of domestic abuse (which is also historically mostly incorrect), it's still a pretty good film. Ed and Jessica had that chemistry.
Lange is exceptionally brilliant as Patsy!
Sweet Dreams sits squarely on Jessica Lange's shoulders - and she responds with a mesmerizing turn as legendary country singer Patsy Cline.
A great biopic on Patsy Cline with a remarkable performance from Jessica Lange and Ed Harris. Great musical numbers, writing, costumes, and art direction
Such a fantastic movie ;) Ty Amazon :)
Someone recently told me that Jessica Lange has trouble acting. This and Frances prove the opposite. Lange is tremendous as Patsy Cline.
