Deutch carries Jill’s grief constantly and quietly, adding a weight to what would otherwise be a pure plot device. Go to Full Review

No film in which characters get down repeatedly, vigorously and endearingly badly to Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own” is without its moments of truth. Go to Full Review

What this charmer of a film has that keeps us engaged, if not originality, is the couple at the center of it all. We root for them, even when it all seems hopeless. Go to Full Review

It’s formulaic, sure, but the formula works when the ingredients are this high-quality. Deutch and Robinson have impeccable chemistry. Go to Full Review

Zoey Deutsch has an infectious warmth about her but this tone-deaf rom-com pushes back at every turn to not make it about her grief and journey but rather diabolically use a dead sister’s memory to woo her without consequence. Go to Full Review

Phuong N @RT07679973 55m The writing is edited to meet the standard writing length, go to insta or letterboxd to read the raw review if you want to, love) It's not just a story of a couple, it explores more than love - the sisterhood, the pursuit of one's dream, and finding your way out when life gets messy. I love the way they make it so genuine and pure and original yet "so real" (or practical, for those who couldn't get it :)) The movie isn't trying to sell teenagers a fantasy with a lovely romanticized "catch and chase" of an unattainable girl and a "successful yet pathetic only for his love" man. Like many other movies, this one, of course, does feature a dilemma which serves as the central plot twist (in this case the voicemail). The movie moves at a decent pace, drops the jokes at the right time and in the right places, and I like it. This would be a comfortable 3.5-star recommendation for a gentle night on your couch this weekend. See more Mike M @XJ10Toy 1h three stars to Offerman for suffering through the banality. two stars for the rest. See more Armando Z @DAZAZ 1h One of the best movies on Netflix! A must watch, that will release the emotions within! Leah McKendrick, Zoey and Nick, I applaud you on this one! See more Drew F. @Dna13 3h This movie is one of the best films I have ever seen on Netflix. It definitely will have you in your feels showing you the tragedy of loss, but as much as it will make you sad, it will uplift you and teach you the importance of family, friends and life. I cried more happy tears than sad tears which means it was a phenomenal movie. Nick Robinson and Zoey Deutch are incredible actors and light up the screen. It’s funny, dirty, tragic and romantic all at the same time. At the end, it had me wishing that my sisters love me enough to leave me voicemails after I’m gone because who doesn’t want to be loved that much? See more Patrick R @almostjoeking 4h Feel-good movie, made me cry and it's a worthy watch. See more Gabriel M. @Anoth3rBoy 4h This movie moved all my emotions at once. The performances are brilliant, the story is beautifully crafted, and every feeling comes through so powerfully. Heartbreaking, heartfelt, and unforgettable. See more Read all reviews
