Charles 08/31/2022 Classic Bond film with a great performance from Sean Connery See more IAM M @IAM1655 Jun 7 This movie is better than Thunderball. Akiko Wakabayashi was very great as Aki, but her death wasn't really supposed to be there. She was badly replaced by Kissy Suzuki, which is somehow the main Bond girl of the movie. Donald Pleasance was great as Blofeld, but I expected more from him as he only appears in the final act. It leans heavily into the larger-than-life spy fantasy style that the series is known for, with some of the most memorable set pieces and visuals from the early Bond era. Sean Connery still carries the role of Bond with confidence and charm, even when the story becomes a bit over-the-top. The introduction of Blofeld’s volcano lair is iconic and adds a strong sense of scale and spectacle that helps define the film’s identity. The atmosphere, gadgets, and Cold War spy tone all work in its favor, even if the plot can feel a bit loose at times. While it’s not the most tightly written Bond film, it remains highly watchable and fun in a classic spy adventure way. Overall, i'd gave it a 7/10. Not a let down at all, I would recommend this to anybody. Although Sean Connery looks zoned out, overall, the plot is good, the women even more sexier than ever, and a full blown great 007 movie!
