The first in a planned series of shows detailing the Marvel universe, "Daredevil" follows Matt Murdock, attorney by day and vigilante by night. Blinded in an accident as a child, Murdock uses his heightened senses as Daredevil to fight crime on the streets of New York after the sun goes down. While Murdock's day job requires him to believe in the criminal justice system, his alter ego does not follow suit, leading him to take the law into his own hands to protect his Hell's Kitchen neighborhood and the surrounding communities.

interjects a welcome dose of bruised-and-bloodied malice to the sometimes too-cartoony Marvel universe. More promising still, Daredevil is a confident show with a solid foundation on which it can build. Go to Full Review

Daredevil doesn't always pack the intellectual heft of its sister Netflix series Jessica Jones, but it's a finely acted, well-written, appropriately dark series with some truly dazzling fights. Go to Full Review

Charlie Cox simply owns the role of Matt Murdock... He sinks so perfectly into the role that (as much as we might love Ben Affleck) he makes us forget the 2003 film ever existed. Go to Full Review

Between Vincent D'Onofrio, Charlie Cox, and a flawless ensemble cast Daredevil Season 1 is nothing short of iconic. Even after 10 years, this Drew Goddard Netflix original still delivers all the nuance and finesse that put Marvel on the map. Go to Full Review

Kuro13 K @KuroKaen 2d Daredevil's first season does more than adapt what many people consider Marvel's BEST superhero. From the very first episode, you feel like you're opening the pages of a comic book. Right off the bat, the series wastes no time telling you who Matt Murdock is and how he is the way he is. You quickly know his struggles as Matt and Daredevil, someone who tries to retain his faith while also giving into his demons. His struggles to maintain his persona as a lawyer as well as a vigilante alongside Foggy Nelson and Karen Page. Foggy feels like one of the best side characters in any superhero media ive ever watched. Being a fun, caring friend while also showing that he too has the strengths of a good lawyer that even rival Matt. And Karen Page's decent into madness and ascent to a badass side character feels so satisfying to watch. Someone who's both tortured by her surroundings, but also understands what it takes to keep going. Even when its hard. 9/10 See more SnEaKy @basaro_o Feb 8 It’s so good. It starts off slow, but when you’re a couple of episodes in, it just becomes addicting to keep watching. This season manages to keep you on edge and keeps you wondering what else it has in store for you. The hallway fight scene where Murdock goes to save the child from the Russians is one of my favorite scenes, along with when Claire gets kidnapped and Murdock goes to save her. It really highlights the stakes and how much things can go wrong. I really recommend giving it a try. See more Dogcat @Dadogcat Feb 7 One of, if not my favorite show of all time, and for several reasons. The action is great, between the hallway fight scene, the prison fight scene and many, many more. Not to mention the storytelling and the characters. The very idea of Daredevil and Matt Murdock as a whole is something you just have to see to to truly admire. And Kingpin is a prefect foil for him. Not to mention Bullseye. Af first glance he seems like a very one-dimensional character, a psychopath with really good aim. But the way the show gives his backstory and his misadventures throughout is as compelling as any and every other character here. Karen is not only a good romantic interest for Matt but a great character in her own right, and the same could be said for foggy, just put a B in front of the word romance. I know this is technically a review for season 1 but it’s impossible for me to not gush about everything here, and I didn’t even mention the punisher! Can’t recommend it enough!! See more Adam D @Adam_ Jan 19 Season 1 sets a perfect foundation introducing us to Matt Murdock who is a extremely compelling character. He is fueled by righteous anger at the criminal justice system which he fights to uphold every day in the courtroom. The first few episodes are a slow burn which establishes the Kingpin as an unstoppable force and his menace is built up by the people he works with not even being allowed to say his name. However when he shows up he is looking at paintings and talking about how one of them makes him feel alone. These two elements contradict each other and this show takes every opportunity it can get to construct three dimensional people who even though some of their acts are despicable you can't help but growing to enjoy them. Foggy and Karen are heavily focused on and I grow to want the best for them. Foggy wears his heart on his sleeve but his strong principals of justice cause conflict with Matt when he learns his secret identity creating conflict and pointing out Matt's flaws. See more John Cristian L @Jhaiian Jan 18 I didn’t even know this show existed until I saw Matt Murdock show up in She-Hulk and No Way Home, so watching this felt like discovering a hidden Marvel upgrade from Earth-616 itself. And honestly? What an introduction. Season 1 does an excellent job establishing Matt Murdock—his morals, his pain, and his double life. As someone who enjoys Ace Attorney, I actually loved the balance between courtroom drama and street-level action. Law by day, fists by night. Efficient. Satisfying. Kingpin is a phenomenal villain. Intimidating, layered, and genuinely human. His backstory adds real weight, and he feels dangerous without needing flashy powers. I genuinely wish I had watched this before Hawkeye. It’s criminal that Marvel Netflix shows weren’t clearly listed on the site. Great writing, brutal action, strong characters. See more Theodore F. @Sirhotness Jan 9 the best live action comic book show you could watch.. There is amazing acting, awesome fight scenes and a great written story here a must watch See more Read all reviews
