Sports, of course, arouse irrational passions. That’s part of what makes them so much fun. You don’t have to love a team to enjoy the story. Sometimes, hate works just fine. Go to Full Review

It all largely serves as a trip down memory lane rather than shining a new light on Jones’ ownership or the team’s larger place in American culture. Go to Full Review

In the end, there’s something remarkable about a team that can keep losing and yet be as popular as ever. It doesn’t matter if they win or lose. How American. Go to Full Review

America's Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys attempts to mythologize the businessman while glossing over more problematic topics, like the racially fraught allegations involving a young Jones that surfaced a few years ago. Go to Full Review

I need you to know that this is the best sports docuseries we've had since, well, The Last Dance. I'll even give you a lofty, Jerry Jonesian promise: It's so good that it'll save your miserable sports summer too. Go to Full Review

Debra W @swtrimoviegal Oct 19 I thought this sports doc was one of the best I’ve seen! Filling in gaps of the Cowboys story that got lost on me throughout the decades. Was authentic and informative. I agree background music was a bit much at times. See more Michael W @mawilps Sep 2 This sports docuseries was really good. The entire crew did a spectacular job on telling the entire history of the The Team of the 90s. The Dallas Cowboys. It was incredible, dramatic, and shocking. It really tells more about what went down before they were successful and after. If you haven't seen this docuseries yet, check it out sometime. It's a definite must see. See more CHris S Sep 1 Whether or not you love or hate Jerry Jones and the Cowboys, there's no mistaking their footprint on American football. This is by far - BY FAR - the best sports documentary Netflix has ever done. The storytelling, pacing, and interviews are fantastic. See more Ben B Aug 30 Even as a Brit who doesn't follow American football religiously, this is up there with Netflix best sports documentaries. The pacing, the story unfolding and backtracking was done perfectly, but what makes this show great is the old time players all telling their own stories. Great footage and a really well made documentary. See more greanlantern Aug 28 I think this was an incredibly honest documentary. At times it made you Love Jerry Jones and other times hate him. Very compelling and very accurate. Jerry, if you’re reading this, the only way back to the Super Bowl is how you did it the first time. Hire an amazing coach and get out of the way! Love you though and thank you for the 90s. See more Michael Q Aug 28 As a Cowboy fan of 50 years, this documentary was clearly written by Jerry Jones to try and depict him as a great owner and smart football guy. He is a great businessman but, unfortunately, he is a terrible General Manager of the Dallas Cowboys and has no idea how to build a winning team. This documentary placated to Jerry vs giving the real truth that his ego has destroyed the brand and potential of a great team. He had a great mindset about change and going big but needed Jimmy to actually coach the team. It’s sad that he still thinks that he was the key ingredient in the Cowboys success in the early 90’s. Cowboys will never be good again until Jerry and family get out of the way!! See more Read all reviews
