"Big Night Out" showcases how parties have changed over the years. Rather than being just a means to celebrate and have a good time, young people now party as an act of rebellion, subsistence or survival -- especially outside the U.S. -- according to host Clive Martin, who the network calls "Vice's T. S. Eliot of rave." Martin travels to locations around the world to discover how partying has evolved to what it is today, with people gathering to "get loaded and dance to loud music." Among Martin's stops are the Ukraine, where he goes behind rebel lines, and Greece, where Martin parties with refugees.
