Hilarious and perfectly suited to the extraordinary times. Great characters in an ensemble where each is interesting in their own right. The attention to music and styling also make it an enjoyable experience to watch. Have no idea why critics have given this such negative reviews - it seems so unfounded and out of synch with the response from the audience. A shame that it was cancelled before finishing.

What is the matter with yall? You tease us with a good show and then you don't finish it. Please, bring it back! I know my whole family enjoyed watching it. We would like to see the ending please. God bless and thank you.

Enjoyable, light and humorous. Other comments about season 1 lacking direction is a misinterpretation of classic 'God' experiences ie the dissolving of what you thought you knew, not knowing the next course of action, waiting for God's next intructions and going where the wind takes you. This series is a humorous God experience brought into the present day. I find critics in general can't digest a sweet dork protagonist and will always diss one. The low critics rotten tomato score is inappropriate in this case.

I LOVED this show and I am not religious! It is just a wonderful show. The characters are quirky and charming, the feel of the show is smart, funny and kind. I will be SO sad if Part 2 doesn't come to be!

The fact that this show doesn't follow any stale comedic formulas is refreshing and makes it genuinely funnier than most comedies at the moment. Obviously too obtuse for the critics.

Hilarious, I love it. I'm religious but not super conservative- that may be the key to liking this show. I refuse to waste time watching tv, but I've watched several episodes so that says a lot.

Frankly, I loved this show. The core message that we all just need to be better people is so true. I found it funny and poignant. Yes, it's over the top and I'm sure every religious person who is convinced that THEY are RIGHT about God hates it and calls it blasphemy. But it's really beautiful to think that God is big enough for everyone to be right. Hope they do the rest of the series. Also, don't listen to critics. They get paid to hate.

The show missed the mark as a satire or another person's commentary. It struck a good nerve, commonly overlooked. Make a show funny, hold the viewer accountable for their own biases, and do it in a heartfelt way. We do not live in a time when critics can speak about faith, without losing "followers". Netflix, gotta follow your guts on this one, sans the rest; better risk than wokism. Best of luck to you.

Despite the religion (Ha!), this is way better than Ted Lasso (aka Star Wars Return of the Jedi). All the haters are probably just Sunday morning hypocrites.
