Written and directed in a sensationalist, Aaron Spelling style,"Heartbreakers" combines accounts of real love gone wrong with the romance, jealousy and back-stabbing that fans crave in classic prime-time soaps. The redemption of Heartbreakers lies in the fact it never pretends to be more than the kind of show where the actors openly wink at the camera.
