Susan G @RT98316338 Jul 22 Hands-down the best and most faithful adaptation of Bronte’s novel. Several scenes that are commonly cut are included, and they add to its pacing and feel (the fortune teller scene especially). The most important elements of the climactic meeting in the final scenes are included - a mistake so many adaptations water down. Dalton is magnificent as the brooding and passionate Rochester. Clarke is effortless as Eyre, allowing Dalton the reins when needed and commanding attention when appropriate. The chemistry between the two is palpable and divine. Don’t miss this retelling of the novel that’s been adapted to film more often than any other book in history! This is the peak of perfection. See more Read all reviews
