Nicole Byer stars in this scripted comedy series, which is loosely based on her life, as she hopes to live the Hollywood dream -- or Hollywood adjacent, at least, in the San Fernando Valley. With the help of best friends Veronica and Devin, Nicole does her best to navigate the real world, which for her means enduring humiliating auditions, dealing with unpaid bills and traversing the minefield that is dating in the 21st century. On top of that, Nicole continues to slowly find her voice as a female comic in a male-dominated field.
