Season 1
Marvel's Inhumans

Critics Consensus

Marvel's Inhumans sets a new low standard for the MCU with an unimaginative narrative, dull design work, weak characters, and disengaging soapy melodrama.

To make something from a Marvel concept this blithely, wonderfully and resolutely weird demands time and budget and -- maybe most of all -- commitment, and none of those three things showed up to set.

Despite special effects up the wazoo, it's utterly devoid of magic or wonder.

Well, at least Iwan Rheon is back where he belongs.

Inhumans is legitimately the worst Marvel adaptation of the year (yes, even beating out Iron Fist). In fact, as far as terrible Marvel adaptations go, you might have to go all the way back to Roger Corman's unreleased 1994 Fantastic Four film to best it.

[It's a] dull [slog] overall.

It has hopeful and even good points, but these derive more from the use of the "magical Marvel makeup" that surrounds all its series and movies, than from the quality of the production itself. [Full Review in Spanish]

Aug 8, 2019 | Full Review…

Really dull, has the feel of a cheap 90s TV show and has a cast of characters that are somehow less charismatic and interesting than the mute emotionless leader they follow.

While Inhumans had some rocky points (what pilot doesn't?), there were beautiful moments that make me want to continue watching.

Aug 27, 2018 | Rating: B | Full Review…

This is easily the biggest mistake Marvel has made to date, and they need to be careful not to make another one this egregious.

Finally and sadly, Inhumans lacks what all great superhero renditions must have: heart.

Jun 26, 2018 | Full Review…

Perhaps, if nothing else, the disaster that is the pilot of ABC's Marvel's Inhumans will dissuade network executives from the out-of-control trend of superhero shows. Inhumans is by far the worst yet.

Marvel's Inhumans was a meh show. I say meh because it did not live up to my expectations with some of the bad acting and terrible action scenes and weird design of the show. I give this 2.5/5 because it is a show on Marvel characters that we rarely see in the MCU.

I was glad to see a PG Marvel production and this was one of the worst. SPOILER ALERT. The story was initially interesting but this must been the worst writers ever. I could write a better script than this. Black Bolt and Medusa were so annoying and underdeveloped as characters. Black Bolt was an eunuch of a leader. He allowed his Queen Medusa to run the kingdom no wonder his emotionally unstable brother would. Sadly he ran the kingdom better than them two dummies. The acting was okay but all the supporting characters like Gorgon & Crystal were horrible actors. Please do not continue this show because it is really bad and find new careers for the production team because they should've known this was a poor quality show

The writers make you root for the bad guy in this series. Blackbolt acts likes he's retarded and self absorbed having no concern for any body but himself. For an advance race they seem like they are incompetent in everything. They are easily harmed by bullets and Blackbolt can't even fly like in the comics. If this series is to last they need to replace all the writers because they suck.

I came into this show with an open mind and it still siprised me how bad it was.

The best acting performance came from Lockjaw, The CGI dog. While the Premise was interesting enough, the series eventually falls flat and falls well short of the high standards set by Marvel with Daredevil and Agents of Shield. I do give a half star boost for Crystal and Auran being nice eye candy, I could not stand Maximus tho. The whole time watching I felt like wishing I can punch him in the face for being such a Colossal Pu$$y! Easily the Lamest Marvel villian ever, I wish they would put him in a room with Red Skull , Diamondback and Wilson Fisk. Overall , watch only if you're interested in checking out all Marvel Canon even though if they left this one out nobody would really notice or care.

This tv show sucks spider man's spider balls

This was the absolute worst show I have seen in my life. The acting was completely atrocious, especially Crystal and Gorgon. Two main characters lose their powers within the first two episodes. The fight scenes are like children play fighting with no experience. The romance scenes are out of the blue and completely forced, ending as quick as they begin. If you have any urge of watching this show I would avoid it. That was the roughest 8 episode pile of garbage I've ever seen.

It is so bad, it wouldn't even pass as acceptable if it was a fan made project made with little to no budget.

Even though many people do not like this show, I really like it.
