See more Lars H 02/17/2025 Not bad, funny, visuales are good but it struggles with the lore. Monster Inc. is the energy provider of the city but laugh energy is still obscure and many don't know it exists? The Monster University is brought back but now has nothing to do with the company or so? The rival company is also led by a graduate of it but shares the name of the rival university but is family owned, kinda weird. Tylor is treated quite badly and you should empathy for him but is still the one is forced to excuse himself multiple times. The ending is kinda rushed and abrupt too and mostly nostalgia for the first movie. See more SkyRo P @TheMovieSearch 12/18/2024 "Monsters at Work," the animated series from Disney and Pixar available on Disney+, has now entered its second season. I wanted to take the opportunity to discuss both seasons and share my thoughts on the evolution of these beloved characters. First off, Tyler is a fantastic addition to the Monsters, Inc. universe, which was already rich and vibrant. His character experiences remarkable growth throughout the first season, making it exciting to see how he continues to develop in the follow-up season. However, season two feels a bit less engaging compared to the first. While Tyler still brings a lot to the table, it seems like there are missed opportunities for his character. I believe he has the potential to transition into a feature film alongside Mike and Sully. While he may not carry a movie on his own just yet, pairing him with the franchise's mainstays could elevate his status and make him a more recognized character. The series is enjoyable, but it doesn't seem to be receiving the attention it deserves to elevate these new characters to their full potential. In the first season, viewers quickly fall in love with the fresh characters introduced, although it's hard not to miss Boo, a key figure from the original film. Her absence is felt, especially since she wasn't featured in "Monsters University," so it would be great to see her character grow alongside Tyler. I truly believe Tyler could be a torchbearer for the franchise moving forward, but it would be ideal to see these stories expanded beyond the 30-minute episodes and into a full-length movie so that a wider audience can experience their journey. As for the second season, it's good but does feel somewhat rushed and less polished. It hasn't captured my excitement in the same way the first season did. I'm still watching and engaged, but I find myself disappointed that the series feels somewhat sidelined. I would love to see the show embrace a quicker, more comedic style, similar to what made the first two films so engaging. While it's still an enjoyable series, it lacks re-watchability. Once an episode is over, there isn't much incentive to revisit it, which is a significant drawback. I believe they need to make some changes to enhance the overall experience. See more Spencer P @s_plewe 09/10/2024 Fleshing out the Monsters world in unexpected ways, season 2 of this sequel series packs a much more relatable storytelling punch, making us care for more of the cast and excited to see where things go! See more Lilman L 06/25/2024 This show was written so horribly that it is likely the WORST show I have EVER watched. Normally I'm not picky about movies and shows directed towards kids, I mean many of them are in my top 10 movies (or shows) of all time, but this is horrendous! The writing is so awful throughout the entire show just to lead up to the finale where everything is explained but by then it's already too late to even TRY to fix this disgusting piece of media. I would rather watch Shrek the Musical than even consider watching this. I'm sorry Pixar, but this is scarily awful. If you want to check it out, then that's perfectly understandable, but if you don't like the first few episodes, don't expect the rest of them to be better. See more Read all reviews
