Sir David Attenborough narrates this eight-part series that explores the unique wonders of the natural world. Produced in partnership with the World Wildlife Fund, "Out Planet" uses a combination of stunning photography and technology to present Earth's remaining wilderness areas and their animal inhabitants. The project took four years to complete, with more than 600 crew members filming in 50 countries across the world to showcase the diversity that exists among habitats, from the remote Arctic wilderness to the jungles of South America.

Our Planet is spectacular to look at and conveys its vital message with telling examples, however depressing. Go to Full Review

[Our Planet II] has both the incredible photography and assured storytelling that makes a good series great. Go to Full Review

In Our Planet II, David Attenborough expertly explains the migration patterns of the world's creatures, while in a trembling aside, warns of the perils that lie in wake for the (oft soft and cuddly) creatures that rely on their parents to survive. Go to Full Review

Our Planet II is beautiful, astonishing, angering, humbling and inspiring. Just as he has for 70 years, Attenborough has made one of the best and most crucial shows you will see on any screen, this or any other year. Go to Full Review

Jeanne G @RT31131055 10/18/2023 Not as good as the first season. See more Zoltn F @RT93188332 09/05/2023 Stunning cinematography, pretty good but nothing special music, species we have seen a 1,576,834 times, and Attenborough is as good as ever. So, first of all Our Planet II follows animals through their migrations all across the globe. I think this is a somewhat lame choice for the overall series because it has been done a few times before. Though, I must say this may be the most beautiful of them all because of the incredible cinematography. So the quality is over the top, yes. But seriously, who cares about lions hunting wildebeest anymore? It has been done sooo many times before and it's getting very boring... lions doing stuff in general. There are so many amazing species on our planet, many rarely or never featured in top quality documentaries. It's time they get their spotlight. This is my biggest problem with the series. Though in some sequences, they try to show something new, like the freshwater seal behaviour in the salmon run scene. Or the polar bear cub barely capable of climbing a cliff (maybe I have PTSD from the walrus scene from last season). Speaking of the last season, I think the original Our Planet is one of the best, if not the best natures documentaries I've ever seen. It features so many interesting species and animal behaviour, with very powerful sequences. Now, the overall feel of Our Planet II is somewhat different. I think mainly because of the music. Why did they change Steven Price as the composer? It's a bit frustrating because Our Planet had an incredibly powerful soundtrack and a beautiful theme song. Now the music is although not bad but somewhat mediocre. At least they could have used some of the original music, like the theme... But yeah, comparing the two, the first one wins. So, all in all, watch it for Attenborough and the cinematography. See more Matiu B @RT21873693 08/06/2023 Another amazing David Attenborough nature documentary. These David Attenborough documentaries are my childhood and have learnt so much from him. This season was about migration and movement, and wasn't as episodic as the first season and more or less focused on this same theme. I love these documentaries quite a lot and will always praise them from the amazing and chilling shots, the good pacing, and of course wonderful narration. See more dave d @RT34924333 07/05/2023 It's shorter than the first go around, and plays a little more like one episode than four, but the content is no less important. See more joanna d @RT82644388 07/04/2023 Do not miss this stunningly gorgeous and often devastating series. I can only imagine the weeks of patience needed to capture one shot as Predator and Prey complete the great migratory circle of life. Most destructive is Man - there is, however, a glimmer of hope. See more Michael W @mawilps 06/22/2023 This nature docuseries was very good. David Attenborough and the entire crew did a spectacular job on this docuseries. They really give the viewers an amazing inside look at how these particular animals live, breed, and fight to survive. This is an incredible series for an entire family to watch.
