A stark reminder of how closer fidelity to myth, rather than comic-book interpretations, allow for much weirder occult storytelling. Go to Full Review

Stephen B. @Serb01 Oct 20 The show seasons one and two were great. I will give them that season three was very disappointing and the final episode completely ruined the entire series if your looking for show going to be good would not recommend this show because you will feel very disappointed and unsatisfied with the ending and left with more questions than answers and it already had a ton of plot holes. It felt lazy and they were just trying to wrap it up highly recommend if you watch this stop watching after the 5th episode See more Zac B Jul 28 I literally binge watched the entire series in 3 or 4 days. Was completely hooked. Loved the show. The actors were great. But my god that ending ruined the ENTIRE show. Ive never seen a ending so bad in my life. I literally made this rotten tomatoes account to write this review. To much doesnt make sense if he was actually a schizophrenic. See more James J Jun 25 Dream????? wtf seriously??? See more David C @Theclap Feb 11 The first 2 seasons were intriguing with a lot of potential. The show continued to slowly intensify and get better. That was until season 3 happened, a total let down. The best villain gone, a couple other good side characters gone and the plot pretty much gone. Season 3 turned into endless agenda feeding nonsense, never really going anywhere until the last couple of episodes. It was almost unwatchable. See more gabriela k 09/18/2024 This series was nothing short of amazing, offering a fresh, modern reinterpretation of Norse mythology that was both innovative and compelling! The way it blended ancient mythology with the modern world was truly one of the best adaptations I've ever seen. However, the ending completely destroyed everything I loved about the show. Rather than staying true to the mystical and grand narrative of Norse mythology, the writers chose to rationalize it all as a psychotic break, a manifestation of mental illness. I can't express how disheartening this was. To reduce such a rich, imaginative universe to mental illness felt like a betrayal. It drained all the magic and complexity from the story, turning what could have been an epic conclusion into something deeply unsatisfying. It’s sad that such an incredible series was undone by its own ending. The show had the potential to be a masterpiece, but in trying to give a “logical” explanation to the mythology, they took away everything that made it special. I loved this series, but I can’t help but feel heartbroken by how it was wrapped up. See more Michelle M 06/12/2024 Fabulous ending. Original, provocative! For all those haters, let me tell you how haunting it is to have spent three seasons living inside the world of monsters and harrowing danger in a mentally ill and developmentally disabled child's mind. My soul is ripped and shivering from the experience. It was a brilliant, poignant, wrenching ending. Have you no one in your life who has struggled with demons? Psychotic breaks? Childhood trauma? Parent loss? Developmental disability? Struggles in school compounded by any or all of this? A perfect storm of mental illness, disability, dislocation and emotional disruption. Are your lives so perfect, or are you putting your head in the sand and wanting just flamboyant, violent entertainment? Instead we have a thoughtful and original story of a boy and his struggles. Instead of making this a story of the Nordic Gods leaking into our modern world -- ho hum -- this ending turns this series into a terrifying and remarkable tale of adolescent coming of age -- an adolescent crippled by his challenges but ultimately prevailing.
