I'm not going to lie, I thought this episode was a little boring.
For all this episode's astute writing, both in conception and execution, there's a slightly anticipatory edge that tamps down the pleasure.
I love it when Riverdale plays nonsense pop-culture word-association games, which is ... constantly) are pretty damn sure that whoever runs the community center is to blame.
"The Ice Storm" uses the simple but effective plot device of a winter storm to put its characters in a powder keg. It's certainly not a bottle episode, but most characters are confined to just one setting for most of the episode
At least in the Dickinson family Thanksgiving melee, Veronica gets to stab a man in the hand with a massive steel carving fork. It's awesome.
Hopefully, FP's journey into becoming an anti-hero will be the spark that stops Hiram once-and-for-all.
What has been an unexpected surprise though is how the series' writers continue to honor the humanity of Luke Perry/Fred Andrews as the season progresses.
