We've had some amazing scenes and storylines this season, but this episode, from the word go, was so complex and thoughtful and beautiful and tense and wonderful. And it was all about the ladies again.

An interesting set-up, strong thematic material, interesting relationships, and a nice sense of tension and pacing. Unfortunately, the episode doesn't quite manage to pull all of those pieces together into a truly top tier Supergirl.

I will say that as Supergirl's sophomore season marches to its conclusion, I hope that Rhea's wrath is trained more towards Kara than it is towards her son Mon-El.
