I cannot imagine any of the expert commentary stirring up much more than polite disagreement. What’s most upsetting is how easily the Netflix template gets mapped onto a two-thousand-year-old story, including a pre-credits teaser reel. Go to Full Review

The presentation of these conversations throughout the series is fluid and well-organized, so much so that it sometimes feels as if the experts are in agreement about how the story should be interpreted. Go to Full Review
Rohan Naahar The Indian Express 03/31/2024
As has become the norm for shows like this, the production is noticeably spartan — the sets look plastic, there’s a limit to the scope, and despite the inherent ambition of adapting such an expansive text, the constraints can always be seen and felt. Go to Full Review

The docuseries makes a point of reconstructing Moses’s life with balanced input from all three Abrahamic religions – Christianity, Judaism, and Islam – and ends up telling the blandest and most anodyne version of an already well-known story. Go to Full Review

In Netflix’s version, Moses’ tale of redemption and Exodus combines the discourses of the three major religions that celebrate the man of faith. Go to Full Review

Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, all recognize Moses as a prophet, but they don’t interpret Moses’ importance the same way ... Netflix glosses over significant differences of opinion, offering a syncretic perspective on the lawgiver. Go to Full Review

Cem Okan Y @cmyldz23 Apr 29 Historically it may be accurate or not and I am not an expert in this. However, acting is so bad that you do not want to believe any part of it. See more Stacy D @Anastacia Dec 21 I love it. The people are represented in a diverse manner. Moses looked Jewish which he was and God was revered and represented with respect. It is fresh air comparison of the trashed that is being shown on modern TV especially in the U.S. See more Najam U @RT74029343 10/27/2024 Such an inappropriate representation of a Prophets so sacred in all three religions. The story starts with him murdering even though it was an accident and not with a stone. Prince Of Egypt had a better representation of an event than this. Not recommended. See more Shady M @RT71468510 07/08/2024 Poor movie and no man could act as God Messenger See more Bubbe F @Bubbef 04/01/2024 Biblical history is so hard to put into film. This is hard to watch….it’s pretty cringeworthy. You just cannot recreate miracles on film…and to make it worse the acting is sub par. Sorry. See more Elise T @RT06976181 03/28/2024 Amazing. I would love to see all books of the Bible in this format. Honestly, my favorite documentary EVER! See more Read all reviews
