Critic Reviews for Flashpoint
The chemistry of the cast is excellent. And to its credit, the premiere toys with some interesting ideas.
"Flashpoint" was a fun and electric season premiere that promises a return to form after an uneven season.
There's some fun to be had with this scenario, even if it's a little too reminiscent of last season's Earth-2 adventures at times.
Some of the funniest, most fire, grade A, rib shattering new personality intro scenes that The Flash has ever come up with.
At the end of the day, this show's appeal isn't about the spectacle... it's about following Barry Allen's emotional journey through all its ups and downs.
It's possible all this time-traveling and rewriting of history is beginning to wear thin, and even the writers can no longer keep it all straight.
The timeline just seemed off.
The best part about Caitlin's appearance was the joke about whether she was kidnapped or not.
The Flash lays bare its central problem: Barry and Iris are 'destined' to be together, but the characters are yet to build up a romantic relationship that feels convincing.
"Flashpoint" is a welcome return to a series and its tone that best befits it's character with it's awkward humor and good natured charm.
Flashpoint was an enjoyable kickoff to Season 3 and a quick reminder how much I'd missed these Tuesdays with Barry.
"Flashpoint" is a wonderful return to form for the series.
