Viking Ragnar Lothbrok is a young farmer and family man who is frustrated by the policies of Earl Haraldson, his local chieftain who sends his Viking raiders east to the Baltic states and Russia, whose residents are as poor as the Norsemen. Ragnar wants to head west, across the ocean, to discover new civilizations. With assistance from his friend Floki, Ragnar builds a faster, sleeker fleet of boats to help him make it to the Western world. Through the years Ragnar, who claims to be a direct descendant of the god Odin, continues to struggle with Earl until the two face each other in a final battle for supremacy. Following that, Ragnar goes on a search for new lands to conquer.

The thrills take their time, but when they come, they come with a mighty rush. Go to Full Review

We can never be certain about how well a series will nail the ending, but at least with "Vikings," the fandom's faith can lean on a firmer foundation based in history and demonstrated skill as opposed to spectacle and whim Go to Full Review

Which, again, fun. But for a show struggling to recapture the sense of sweep and character it initially promised, Ivar's new pal is leading him, and us, down a well-trod path to the same bloodied ground. Go to Full Review

Petra C. @Petra420 Nov 13 Everyone's character growth is absolutely perfect. I highly recommend watching this from season 1 all the way to season 6 somewhere in the middle it does start to slow down and the storyline drags a bit but it's still very good. I was very surprised at everyone's character growth, especially Floki. after what he did to one of my favorite characters I was like I don't like floki but then he grew on me See more Sol B Nov 9 One of the most careless and thoughtless endings to a successful long-running series I have seen. The frequent character deaths, little to no introduction for the new and poorly cast "actors/actresses" and the poor finale marks the miserable yet recurring failings of modern television. 20 episodes in season 6 including 2 or 3 full episodes of slow-motion, just what we needed. Fumbled harder than game of thrones. Disappointed, but am I surprised? Sadly not. See more InWillietus J 12/28/2024 This has to be the worst season of all. I am so dissapointed in the writing, killing off characters and just creating new lousy ones. Also they completely destroy the reputation of vikings season 1 with Ragnar Lothbrok and they keep milking Ragnars name. SOOO BAAAD See more Lopez T 12/10/2024 Season 6 is sabsoluevem. te trash. The writing is just lazy. Episode 2 has the Seer, who is dead, quoting Eliot. What is this even? See more Regal R 11/05/2023 1/100 - season 6 is so bad lol, and it continually gets worse all the way to end. I had to go back and lower the score it was so horrible. The story is riddled with continuity errors. There is no consistency with any of the story telling, the writers destroy every character (every character completely changes their beliefs/morals/goals/ literally everything), there is no point anymore. At all. Its horrendous. They just wrote random stuff and threw it together, they cant even keep the makeup consistent, in one scene a character will have a scar, 4 seconds later the scar is gone, an episode later the scar is back but changed, a season later the scar disappears, a season later it comes back. Its so corny and poorly written, Im ashamed to have had to watch this. They reused the same footage from 1 episode in another, but changed the dialogue and hoped the audience wouldnt notice or remember. They made ivars eyes blue for a couple episodes, completely forgot about it and didnt pay the vfx team for 2 whole seasons, and then randomly on the last episode they justa dd the blue eyes again. the writers are clowns. See more Cristi S 05/10/2023 this might be the best show ive ever seen. just finished and now i dont know what to do with myself. slow at times (and i dont like slow shows) but so amazing and so worth it. do it.
