Billed at television's first "polyamorous romantic comedy," "You Me Her" centers on a couple whose waning sex life and a sequence of surprising turns are about to take their relationship in a direction neither could have imagined. An impulsive get-together between suburban husband Jack and neophyte escort Izzy eventually spins into a whirlwind three-way affair involving Jack's wife Emma, who holds secrets of her own. The arrangement soon evolves from a financial commitment into a meaningful romance with real consequences.

John H @RT18864280 12/05/2023 Season one is out of this world. I expected this to be very boring with "the message" overriding the story/quality. I was wrong! This charming series will quickly suck you in and force to binge-watch the entire thing! See more 02/19/2017 Thought I would give this series a go as it sounded interesting, but... it's awful! Never watched a programme that has caused me more frustration and sheer cringing! There is a very loose and unrealistic story line, it tends to jump very quickly to crazy situations that just would not work in real life. The 'Jack' character strikes me as a creepy pervert, especially from the episode outline of the next series where he moves onto yet ANOTHER woman. It is very clear he doesn't care about Emma or Issy; they just fuel his lust and cater to the MAN. How would he react to his wife if it was a polyamorous relationship involving another man? Very different story line, they would not have even made it to the point of 'falling in love'. This programme encourages unfaithful relationships and broadcasts men as innate animals who can't keep it in their pants, whilst the women are completely hung up waiting for Jack to choose them (again, from what I've read from season 2). I can't believe this day and age programmes are still so misogynistic, especially one of this nature which is meant to be a 'modern' portrayal of relationships. Again, the plot just does not stay consistent, if Emma and Jack really were in love and desperate to have a family then a) why is he always desperate to move onto another woman, and does so really quickly? And b) Why did they give up on their passion so quickly for a baby? Clearly share one brain cell if one girl and sex instantly diminishes the love for their own family, again highlighting the unrealistic nature of the plot and the insultingly simplistic vista of human expressionism. The portrayal of this relationship is incredibly romanticised and 'fairy tale' like (e.g. the airport scene... c'mon!) I'm sure people actually in a relationship like this could point out the real struggles that aren't resolved as easily as this programme makes out. Season 2 looks even more frustrating and dire, and I will not waste my time with it. I really hope it gets cancelled after season 2, because it really is an awful story line and portrayal with so many sexist issues. See more Read all reviews
